Dr Mo Almuzian is a highly experienced specialist orthodontist with 21 years’ clinical experience across three continents and six countries, including England, Scotland and Australia. He treats both adults and children, with particular interests in adult orthodontics, orthognathic surgery, temporary anchorage devices (miniscrews), clear aligners, digital orthodontics and lingual orthodontics.
Academic and clinical appointments
Dr Mo has held academic roles including Honorary Lecturer in Orthodontics at the University of Sydney, Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh, and Senior Lecturer in Orthodontics in the UAE. He is a visiting lecturer internationally and has recently been appointed Honorary Professor in Orthodontics at the University of MDC in Pakistan.
Education and advanced training
After graduating in Dentistry with honours in 1998, Dr Mo completed specialist orthodontic training and postgraduate degrees including an MSc in Orthodontics (Distinction), an MSc in Healthcare Administration (Merit), a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics (DClinDent, Distinction) from the University of Glasgow, PGCert in Systematic Reviews in Health (Merit), and PGCert in Medical Education (2018). He also undertook advanced training at Eastman Dental Hospital/UCL and Oxford University Hospitals, managing complex multidisciplinary cases including severe hypodontia, jaw discrepancies, cleft lip and palate, and craniofacial syndromes.

Awards, research and professional leadership
Dr Mo holds multiple memberships and fellowships from Royal Colleges in the UK and Australasia and was awarded the Gold Medal in Orthodontics by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh for the highest performance among 80+ candidates worldwide. He has contributed to and/or published over 40 research papers and clinical audits, presented internationally, and remains active in leading professional societies including the British Orthodontic Society, European Orthodontic Society and World Federation of Orthodontists.
Clinical approach
Dr Mo’s practice is grounded in evidence-based care, aiming for stable, functional and aesthetic outcomes. Treatment planning is tailored to each patient and supported by comprehensive 2D/3D digital records, photographic analysis and cephalometric assessment to achieve a harmonious bite and high-quality finish.
Outside work, Dr Mo enjoys travelling, cycling and watching the latest Disney films with his family.
